Two full-arch implant quotes may describe different treatments. Before comparing the total, check that each identifies the same arch, type of restoration, treatment stages and ongoing care. This guide is a checklist, not a DACV price list.
Identify exactly what the quote covers
- Is the quote for the upper arch, lower arch or both?
- Is the final restoration fixed or removable, and what material is proposed?
- Which assessments, scans and laboratory stages are included?
- Are extractions, grafting or other preparatory procedures included or conditional?
- Are temporary teeth included, and in what form?
- Are sedation or anaesthetic services separate?
- Which fitting, adjustment and review appointments are included?

Ask about changes and contingencies
Request a written explanation of what could alter the estimate. Ask what happens if immediate temporary teeth are unsuitable, an implant does not integrate, or additional treatment becomes necessary. Clarify which costs are included, which need a new quote and how further consent would be obtained.
If a warranty or guarantee is offered, ask for its full terms and exclusions. A commercial repair policy should not be interpreted as a guarantee that surgery or healing will succeed.
Include the costs after fitting
Ask about professional cleaning, routine reviews, replacement attachments, bridge repairs and any protective appliance recommended for your situation. Note who will provide those services and what records you would receive if you moved.
For insurance, obtain proposed item numbers and confirm benefits, waiting periods and remaining limits directly with your fund. Do not subtract an assumed rebate from the quote. The implant cost considerations page can help frame the discussion.
Take time to compare written plans and ask about alternatives. You do not need to choose extensive treatment solely because a package price or payment deadline is presented.
